Llooma
Llooma is a project inspiring Generation Z to care more thoughtfully for their clothing.
Globally, the fashion industry produces 92 million tonnes of textile waste each year, with 87% of used clothing landfilled or incinerated, and only 1% recycled into new garments. Households are the biggest source of textile waste, with the average UK consumer throwing away around 35 items of clothing every year.
Llooma is a non-profit organisation focused on reducing this waste. By providing accessible information through a website, book series and workshops, it promotes more sustainable habits in how clothing is bought, cared for, and disposed of.
