Held in Tartan

My work explores how tartan exists not only as fabric, but as a living expression of identity, heritage, and everyday life.

In Held in Tartan, I bring together portraiture and still life to examine the ways people and objects are quietly shaped, framed, and supported by this material. I am drawn to the softness of cloth-its ability to hold, to wrap, and to carry meaning without speaking

By photographing individuals across these varied spaces, I aim to show how tradition is not fixed in the past, but continues to move, adapt, and exist within modern life.
