Lottie Evans

Dormant Legs Still Kick is a visual exploration of the artist Lottie Evans’ growing relationship with her grandparents which exists only within her family archive.

The installation based project looks at not only the grief but also the guilt born from this sense of absence from having not known or ever feeling much connection to such close relatives. Evans uses both archival and contemporary photographs to navigate the viewer through her complex feelings towards this evolving relationship.
