Chemical Miracle

Chemical Miracle is a mixed media project exploring people’s personal experiences and relationships with medication.

The final installation turned each portrait into cyanotypes before then being sewn together into a large quilt. The choice for cyanotype as the final form, is to visually replicate the chemical reaction that happens within the body when medication is taken, changing the persons chemistry.

Accompanying these images on the quilt, is the pattern on the medical NHS gowns, the names of each medication that the people in the project take, and empty blister packets.
