Pause for Paws
This project explores a wellbeing centred interior designed to support young adults through emotional and psychological challenges. Rooted in personal experience, it reimagines care environments as warm, welcoming and deeply empathetic spaces. The design integrates animal-assisted interaction, using a palette of yellow and blue tones visible to dogs to create a shared sensory experience. Atmosphere is key, with soft materials, gentle lighting, and spatial flow encouraging openness, comfort, and connection. Inspired by the heritage of Gracemount Mansion, elements of its character are carried into the new design, creating continuity while offering a safe, supportive environment for healing and meaningful human connection.
