iNCLUSIVE bUDDIES
Inclusive Buddies is an educational classroom card game that helps children understand and recognise possible disabilities their peers may have through a fun creative learning environment. Children will work as a team and with their teacher to create crazy inventions.
Making the classroom and playground more socially inclusive will improve the wellbeing of children who are normally the target of bullying.
Empowering children’s to recognise and understand disables can only improve social inclusion and reduce sigma. Breaking down barriers and creating new friendships.
‘Dino Siri’ will help children with dyslexia, it will walk over the child writing and read out what it says. The design will work will letters and numbers to ensure all children with the disability can use it.
Inclusive Buddies will work in 4 simple steps, play, learn, build and create. The teacher will be able to play the game with the whole class or a small group.
The game will come with two sets of cards and a box with instructions, game is to be used as a prompt not without supervision.
Disability cards, common disabilities in the classroom. Theme cards, common topics that the school teach.
Hands are used in the design to symbolise inclusion. Purple and yellow spark creativity and learning.
Positive feedback from teachers and pupils were a vital part in the design process.
