The Enlichenment is a community initiative that aims to get teenagers and young adults interested in lichen to help protect Scotland’s temperate rainforest.

As part of the organisation’s educational materials, I designed ‘Lichens of the Scottish Rainforest’, a handbound publication that teaches people how to identify some of Scotland’s most common and unique lichen species whilst giving them the opportunity to disconnect from their phones and explore their local environment.

By teaching people how to identify lichen in their area, they can help environmental conservation organisations record lichen species across Scotland to conserve Scotland’s rainforest.
