The varieties of my disguise’

This series of portraitures show the formation and formulation of different layers of one’s identity through colours. The changing paint symbolises the barrier between a person’s true identity and what they want to project to the world. The insecurities and fears they desperately try to hide behind their disguise, by showing us only what they want us to see. We can only acknowledge the first layer of their identity and character, but not their real personality. We are all trying to hide ourselves from the outside world.
