Witches of East Fife and the Kirk's Injustices

The following series of images were created by artist John Stanbury using large A2 digital negatives and then hand-printed with Van Dyke onto Fabriano cotton paper combining the new with the old. These images were made with the intention of shedding light on the senseless oppression of women by mostly men with various religious beliefs, be it in the past or in the present.
