WE Project
WE Project is a socially engaged spatial design concept developed within the former Police Station building in Edinburgh. As a graduate of Interior and Spatial Design, I transformed this abandoned structure into a multifunctional café-gallery space with a strong social mission: to promote inclusion and visibility for individuals with Down Syndrome.
The interior was designed to foster interaction, creativity, and a sense of community. People with DS are employed as baristas and café staff, supported by professional job coaches. The space also includes a fully functional ceramic workshop, open to all, where handcrafted pieces are produced for use in the café and made available for purchase.
