The Blooming Mind: A Spatial Dialogue on Neurodivergence
Located in Springburn Winter Gardens, Glasgow, The Blooming Mind is a community centre designed to support late-diagnosed adults with ASD and ADHD. Inspired by the organic form of a blooming flower, the space encourages connection, healing, and empowerment through storytelling, shared experiences, and sensory-friendly design. It addresses the communication challenges often faced by neurodivergent individuals, offering a safe environment for self-expression and mutual understanding. The spatial journey begins with external interaction on the ground floor, transitions inward for reflection, and culminates in a tranquil horticultural garden. The Blooming Mind fosters acceptance, dismantles miscommunication, and celebrates neurodivergent strengths.
