The TimeZone is a cultural events venue designed to tackle loneliness and social isolation among young adults living away from home. It fosters belonging through two main spaces: a lively events area, and a smaller creative studio space. The design accommodates for varying social comfort levels and features historical and cultural displays as well as visitor-made items to deepen personal connections. Inspired by global time zones, its layout - including the spiral staircase - creates symbolic connections to “home” and cross-cultural discovery. Overall, The TimeZone offers an inclusive environment that aims to encourage social interactions.
