Many people think insomnia just means you can’t sleep well. Insomnia is also a kind of disease, which is painful and needs to be understood. I hope my graduation project can bring you an understanding of insomnia. When we meet the people who get insomnia, we can have more tolerance.
Research revealed 9 distinct stories of different experiences of insomnia.
The project takes the viewer on a journey to learn more about insomnia and healthy sleep.
A series of postcards sharing experiences of insomnia, which can be opened like fortune cookies to reveal a positive message.
9 kaleidoscopes are contained within branded boxes.
Each kaleidoscope presents a different experience of insomnia.
The kaleidoscope patterns are interchangeable, and interact to create a moire effect.
The kaleidoscope patterns are designed based on the 9 insomnia personality types identified through research.
