The Full Package
Strut into the world of a drag king with “The Full Package”, an interactive exhibition that educates drag enjoyers on drag kings. The exhibition takes you on a journey of the different stages of becoming a drag king including learning the history, debunking the myths and perceptions, looking at others for inspiration, and finding your persona who is ready for the stage.
I am a drag king, and when starting my journey, there wasn’t much representation out there in LGBTQ+. I created this interactive exhibition to encourage people to be put into the world to understand the art form more.
Part of the timeline which educates people on drag kings, lesbians, trans people, and male impersonators that have shaped drag kings today.
Outfits to complete the look! This is a series of stereotypical male outfits as drag is often an exaggeration and play into gender stereotypes.
